Standing at 6,461 meters, Mera Peak offers breathtaking panoramic views of five of the world’s highest mountains, including Mount Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Kanchenjunga. This carefully designed 18-day itinerary ensures proper acclimatization, safety, and an unforgettable Himalayan experience.


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,593 ft)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, there will be a detailed briefing about the Mera Peak climbing expedition, route overview, and safety procedures.


Day 02: Free Day in Kathmandu – Preparation Day

This day is reserved for final expedition preparations, equipment checks, and necessary permit arrangements. You may also explore Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites or relax before starting the trek.


Day 03: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Paiya (2,800 m / 9,187 ft)

After an early morning scenic flight to Lukla, the trek begins toward Paiya through lush forests, local villages, and suspension bridges. This off-the-beaten-path route provides a quieter and more authentic trekking experience.
Walking time: 5–6 hours | Distance: approx. 8–9 km


Day 04: Trek from Paiya to Panggom (2,846 m / 9,338 ft)

Today’s trail passes through rhododendron forests and traditional Sherpa settlements. The gradual ascent helps with acclimatization while offering beautiful Himalayan scenery.
Walking time: 5–6 hours | Distance: approx. 9–10 km


Day 05: Trek from Panggom to Ningsow (2,863 m / 9,394 ft)

A pleasant trekking day through dense forests and peaceful landscapes. This section of the Mera Peak trekking route remains less crowded and ideal for altitude adaptation.
Walking time: 4–5 hours | Distance: approx. 7–8 km


Day 06: Trek from Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800 m / 9,187 ft)

This is one of the longer trekking days, featuring ascents and descents through remote valleys and river crossings. The isolation adds to the adventure of the Mera Peak expedition.
Walking time: 7–8 hours | Distance: approx. 10–11 km


Day 07: Trek from Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691 m / 12,110 ft)

Day 10: Acclimatization and Pre-Climb Training at Khare

Day 11: Trek from Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780 m / 18,964 ft)

The trail ascends on snow and ice toward High Camp. After reaching camp, enjoy incredible sunset views over Everest, Makalu, and surrounding Himalayan giants.
Walking time: 4–5 hours | Distance: approx. 2–3 km


Day 12: Mera Peak Summit (6,461 m) and Return to Khare

Summit day begins early in the morning. From the top of Mera Peak, climbers are rewarded with one of the best panoramic views in Nepal. After a successful summit, descend carefully back to Khare.
Walking time: 8–10 hours | Distance: approx. 6–7 km


Day 13: Reserve Day for Weather and Safety

This contingency day is kept in case of unfavorable weather or additional acclimatization needs, ensuring maximum safety during the Mera Peak expedition.


Day 14: Trek from Khare to Kothe (3,691 m / 12,110 ft)

Descend through the Hinku Valley, enjoying warmer temperatures and familiar scenery.
Walking time: 4–5 hours | Distance: approx. 9–10 km


Day 15: Trek from Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m / 14,108 ft)

The trail climbs gradually through forests and open ridges toward the Zatrwa La Pass region, offering spectacular mountain views.
Walking time: 5–6 hours | Distance: approx. 8–9 km


Day 16: Trek from Thuli Kharka to Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass (4,600 m / 15,093 ft)

Cross the Zatrwa La Pass and descend to Lukla, marking the end of the trekking portion of the Mera Peak climbing adventure.
Walking time: 6–7 hours | Distance: approx. 10–12 km


Day 17: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
